UNDER THE PATRONAGE OF HIS EXCELLENCY, THE PRIME MINISTER, AND FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THE MIDDLE EAST, THIS SEPTEMBER, THE GLOBAL CHANGEMAKER FESTIVAL LANDS IN LEBANON!

OPERATING AT THE INTERSECTION OF YOUTH, EDUCATION, ENTREPRENEURSHIP, AND IMPACT, THE CHANGE MAKER FESTIVAL WILL BRING TOGETHER THOUSANDS OF LEBANESE UNIVERSITY STUDENTS, DECISION MAKERS, LEADING CORPORATIONS, EDUCATORS, AND GLOBAL EXPERTS.

Beirut, August 5, 2018 – This year the Change Maker Festival has chosen Lebanon as its Middle East regional Hub. The festival’s opening ceremony will be held at the Grand Serail on the 7th of September with the first ever Lebanon Impact Awards, where the country’s top Impact leaders will be recognized by HE Saad Hariri at an elegant Gala Dinner.

The festival’s highlighted features are: Art, Music, Education, Sports, Food, Fun, Entertainment, and Entrepreneurship.

Aiming to Inspire, Educate, and Connect, on the next two days (September 8th & 9th) the festival is offering a variety of opportunities including Entrepreneurship workshops, Panels of global influencers, startup pitches, Impact Awards, live bands, food trucks, arcades, graffiti, photography competitions, and Sports sessions & games.

On the night of the 8th of September, Hult Prize, in partnership with the United Nations, The Central bank of Lebanon, and BLOM Bank, has chosen the Change maker Festival to host their Lebanon Finals, awarding a USD 250,000 to a group of Lebanese university students who will step up their game and harness the power of energy through their innovative startups to transform millions of lives.

In its first year of operation in Lebanon, Hult Prize has engaged 3000 Lebanese students from 27 different universities, trained 6 Lebanese university teams in its 6-week accelerator program, and now is willing to give the largest seed capital prize in the Middle East.
